INTRODUCTION TO MODEL LEARNING
Who is it for?
This shorter session (normally up to 2 hours) can be adapted and delivered to any audience. Invariably the nature of the event we are asked to deliver at will determine the focus of the presentation. These frequently include
- Key note presentations - to large audiences eg headteacher conferences
- Workshops – as part of a package of events to develop broad based capability within LA’s
- Workshops – as part of third party events eg conferences
- Taster sessions – designed to give clients a preview of Model Learning training before committing to a more substantial programme of training.
What is it for?
There are three purposes to any short session of this nature:
- To provide an introduction to the use of visual tools and why you should use them in ALL teaching and learning.
- To communicate the benefits of using visual tools, when used pervasively and systematically.
- To ensure that delegates get something of intrinsic value to take away and use immediately.
What will they get out of it?
Insights into evidence based methods of learning that are proven to raise standards of learning, teaching and leadership.
Experience of the benefits of using visual tools first hand, through exercises that model best practice.
A clear understanding of the Model Learning system of visual tools and techniques.
At least three tools and techniques to take away and apply in your work for immediate learning, teaching or leadership benefits.
