SEQUENCE: FLOW CHART

What does it do?
A Flow chart is a highly effective way of capturing the sequence of events either in the past, present or future.
- How do you make it?
- Generate and capture the events to be sequenced. These can be related to past present or future events under consideration. Yet again, the Single bubble and Cluster processes are useful for this. Write these down on sticky notes.
- Arrange the sticky notes in sequence. Top to bottom is preferred but left to right will do.
- Repeat and re–arrange as necessary
- Link the sticky notes with arrows to identify the flow of events
When do you use it?
A Flow chart is useful for:
- Understanding the events of the past
- Explaining how something in the past occured
- Analysing a current state of affairs
- Predicting and planning for the future
- Instructing someone how to achieve something by following a sequence of activities
