There are many mapping and visual tools programmes on the market. You can find several overviews where features are compared. But nearly all are designed around business users and focused on project management.
Educational mapping software is often limited, offering no more than the ability to brainstorm. Useful but seriously insufficient. Software for schools needs to be accessible to all ability levels, designed around a suite of visual tools and built around how the mind organises thoughts.
