Assertive Mentoring rigorously integrates pupil target setting, tracking, mentoring, interventions and relentless checking, to improve pupil performance.
Hurworth School in Darlington has developed the Assertive Mentoring system over the last 8 years. During this time GCSE results (5+ A*-Cs) have improved from 38% in 1998 to 96% in 2007. These figues are 30% to 81% when you include English and Maths.
Through WORKING SOLUTIONS, a partnership with Model Learning, Hurworth are now making available their nationally acclaimed system to all secondary schools.
Model Learning manage and co-ordinate all events on behalf of Hurworth, including public conferences, workshops and bespoke Local Authority events.
